Writing 101: Six-word Rant

When I’m not writing, I’m working.

Day 9: Writing and not writing

If you’re not a full-time writer, or if your day is so full of other tasks that you have little time to write, consider these alternative questions: if you could step into a machine that gave you more time, how would you structure your day? What would you write with this extra time?

  1. So true, haha. I work 9-5 and have other writing responsibilities as I occasionally freelance, and writing for fun (or for myself) is sometimes the least of my priorities.

To be honest though, even with more time I think sometimes what I want is more time to sleep. DDD:

  2. Ha ha, yeah, basically.
I’m trying to make a point to write everyday, which I’ve actually never done, but with that commitment comes sacrifice of a lot of other stuff, so… basically, write and work :-/

  3. I understand that rant :-). But my work is composed of research, reading, and writing. When I am not working, my kids come first then everything just kind of falls into some sort of place after that. Right now the kids are doing their own thing, so I have time for me. Now I need to write my day 9 assignment. 🙂

  4. Ohh, a TIME MACHINE. Tbh, I think I would spend all my extra time reading. >_> I love writing but reading is my first love, hehe. I really wish I had time to sufficiently do both a lot?!? SO I HEAR THIS POST. I DO.
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
