With all the things she left behind, this little piece of paper hurt me the most.
She is a writer, a journalist by profession, a novelist by passion. Maybe that’s what I loved about her. I am not as good with words as she is. For me, her eloquence is sexiness at its best.
We’re opposites, I would admit that. And this little piece of crumpled paper revealed it just seconds before she finally left me, for good.
She said…
–
I love coffee, he likes tea.
I have no choice, but drink with fake glee.
I read books, he play video games.
I have no choice, but play with him.
–
Words melt my heart,
but kisses is what he wants.
I long for letters,
but he gave me flowers.
–
I wait for him to see.
What would really make me happy.
–
Though, I don’t like to wait.
That’s actually what I hate.
–
But I do it,
for him. So be it.

In response to Writing 101:
Day 2: Write a list
Today, let’s write a list. Compiling a list is a way to let loose, unlock ideas, and free your mind. At Things We Like, writer Jessica Gross compiles lists of things that other people like. In fact, Jessica’s site inspired me to draft my own extended list of things I like.
It’s a beautifully rendered list you have there. I also made a list poem. 😉

Relationships need not to be compose of identical persons, it should be complementing persons. But the problem arise when one insist the other one to do what he/she doesn’t like to do. 🙂 That’s this post’s issue. 🙂

We had that “battle.” Many battles. I used to game when I first met my husband, but stopped because of work, kids, life, etc. He tried to get me back into gaming, into other things. I gave it a try but told him I didn’t like it. After nearly 13 years of marriage, we’ve learned that being together in same room is good even if we’re doing different things. I wish you the best.

12/14 is our wedding anniversary. We met on an online Christian dating site. He proposed to me about 5 months after we met in person, using pictures from Shrek (one of my son’s favorite movies) and his own storyline. I still have the homemade book. It’s probably the most romantic thing he’s ever done.
