WRITING 101: 2nd Round! Why I Write!

Writing is like breathing with words. – rosemawrites

Why do I write?

I’ll tell you the reasons.

With all my might

I do it every season.

Journalism

that’s what I took.

Optimism

with pen and book.

Breathing

I do it with words.

Reading

I do it with worth.

A Reading Writer

exists because

my world is brighter

with words and clause.

In response to Writing 101:

Day 1: I write because . . .

Today, tell us: why do you write? If you’d like to see how others have approached this, here are 23 inspiring quotes from famous authors. The I Write Because project is also worth a peek and is full of personal, honest submissions.

Set a timer and free-write for 15 or 30 minutes without stopping. Begin your post with “I write because . . . ” or start it any other way you wish.

Yay!

Glad to take Writing 101 again!

I am looking forward to sneaking a lot of time, during work yep!, to be able to write again!

And of course, I would love to know more writers again, just like my first Writing 101 journey!

      1. I just survived three major reports for today and I think my brain cells are a bit tired now! Hahaha

I heard about NaBloPoMo. How was it? How does it work? 😀

I hope our bosses would not see us! Haha

      2. Oh wow, three reports already! What time is it there? It’s 10.15 am here and I am on WordPress *teeheehee*. The office is pretty quiet still and the boss is in a meeting (plus she’s pretty cool!) so I am quite lucky *touchwood*

Basically NaBloPoMo is the National Blog Posting Month organized by BlogHer.com. You have to blog everyday for 30 days (November was the original month they started the challenge but now they have it every month). You can either use their theme prompts or you can blog whatever you want on your own for the entire month. I chose the latter. 😀

      3. It is actually 2:20 P.M. here in the Philippines! That’s why I have finished all my tasks. (Though I did them very quick to be able to blog and chitchat with you hahahaa!)

Yes, you are indeed lucky! I’m envious!

Oh. I think I heard about that and visited it too but… I am a bit clueless so I did not join. Haha

        Good luck, T! 😀

      1. I’ve been a bit busy too… I only have time to blog and read my friends’ posts at night, after work. I usually start blogging at 9 pm 😦 But that’s one thing I look forward to during the day!

  1. Rose, I love the poem. I hope you will think about joining my poetry challenge later this month (usually on the 15th). I know with this writing course you will have plenty to write but I think your voice could really add to the link up. 🙂

BTW, I also enjoyed reading the story about the big C. Your stories smack of truth to them and you are so succinct (unlike me… my idea of flash fiction is a thousand words, if I can keep it that short!)… more power to you! LOL

    1. That sounds great. Can you send me the link? 🙂

Thank you so much, (what’s your name? or how should I call you? :))
These are all new to me. I am still learning to write short. 100-word story is still a dream piece that I haven’t written ever. 😀

      1. I go by Memee. There is no link to send right now because the linkup isn’t active for another ten days. But it’ll be easy to find on my blog when the poetry party becomes active. 🙂
