WRITING 201: Most precious gift

Purchased gifts can be as expensive as caviares

Ready-made presents can be as commonly seen as night stars

Albeit precious gifts are monetarily impressive

Your soft whispered words are actually more effective

Enough of anything material

Resort to something that is truly more personal

In response to Writing 201 Day 2 assignment:

Day 2: Gift, Acrostic, Simile

There’s a whole array of sensations and emotions attached to gifts, whether you’re the gifter or the giftee. The tension between packaging and contents, the joy of tearing through layers of wrapping, the surprise or disappointment of discovery once you know what’s inside.

Today, write something about a gift.

I know this is beyond this course but I am now asking you guys to give me the most precious gift, prayer, as my mom is currently at the hospital. 😦

Thank you.

  1. Rose, what a poignant poem.you wrote. Your simile saying purchased gifts can be as expensive.as caviar was so fitting. On days like today, when your sweet mama is in the hospital, expensive gifts bring no.comfort, do they? I am.praying that Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer, touches her tonight and she is restored to perfect health. Praying for you, too, Rose, that you will be flooded.with His.peace at this time.

  2. Heartfelt, simple and says a thousand words! May your mom regain her health speedily. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High God, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I shall say of the Lord, thou are my strength and my hiding place.” prayer is indeed the key and the Lord will be her refuge in this time of trouble. Rest easy 🙂

      1. Thank you for your concern Jacq! It is confirmed that she has stones in her gall bladder. It’s sad but GOD is still GOOD those stones can be dissolved through medication. No surgery will be needed. 🙂

        Thank you, Jacq!

  3. Hello Rosemawrites! God bless you and your mom! I read the poem and loved it. It speaks truth and is definitely thought provoking. As for your request… lets pray and agree in Jesus name for your mom together. That way its more effective.

Heavenly Father we come to you today saying thank you for your love and grace. Thank you for your mercy for your pacience and the blood of Jesus that covers us. Father right now we ask that you touch Rosemawrites’ mom right now where she is and do what only You can do. By Jesus’ stripes she is heeled! So Father in Jesus name we thank you for heeling her body right now in the name of Jesus in the way you see fit. Bless the doctors Lord with the wisdom to know that it is you who delivers, lets loose and sets free from all things. Bless their hands and minds Lord God to work efficiently and effectively through Jesus Christ. Bless Rosemawrites and her family with the faith and courage to “only trust you!” Bless her mother mightily Lord and reconnect the things that are out of alignment in her life right now Lord body mind and spirit. Together we say amen in Jesus name.
