Let me tell you my writing journey, inspired by a quote the MOVED me. – rosemawrites
August 28, 2014: Agony
It has been eight years since I dreamed of having my own blog.
Honestly, I have fears of bashers and grammar Nazis. People who might critique my write-ups. People who might oppose my opinions.
Yes, it took me those long years to have the courage to publish my thoughts, my views and my what-not’s.
Now it will be all available for the viewing and reading netizens. I am now ready for either praises or rejections, for either wow! or boo!, for anything that this blogosphere has in store for A Reading Writer like me.
A MONTH after: Ending Agony
With more than a month as a blogger, I have learned that all my fears are just non-sense.
I have been nominated by equally awesome bloggers in Liebster and One Lovely Blog awards. I have known writers and readers that I can share my views and opinions.
And I have come to learn and to know more about myself. These are enough proofs that writing has greater perks than cons.
A YEAR after: Agony turns into Bliss
After a year of taking that leap of faith to end my AGONY, now I feel pure BLISS. It was all worth it.
My first readers know that I am Journalism graduate who really want to chase that elusive dream of being a writer.
A year after I started this blog, I can now call myself a WRITER. A PR writer, yes. Not a newspaper writer, yes. But I am now living the dream that I thought was not possible. (Sorry for getting too sentimental, guys!)
I am just so happy to have this blog and to have those more than 100 followers. Yeps. I know 100 followers is not a big thing, but I am still thankful for that.
It was such a great feeling to overcome that AGONY. But it was the best feeling to know a lot of book bloggers who I can consider as my virtual friends. It’s just pure BLISS!

This post is inspired by Blogging University’s WRITING 101 Day 5 assignment.
Day 5: Let social media inspire you
One of the goals of Writing 101 is to tap into new and unexpected places for post ideas. Today, let’s look to Twitter for inspiration. Don’t worry — you don’t need a Twitter account to participate in this prompt. Below, you’ll see five tweets: each tweet is interesting in its own way, and we hope one will elicit a response from you.
I went to Twitter and saw this quote and voila, the memories went back.
I hope you enjoyed reading it.
Your comments will be highly appreciated! 🙂

First and foremost, I love Maya. When we let fear take a grip of our minds, it robs us of all sense of fulfillment. I am very glad you chose to step over the ledge. Everything else will fall into place. Lovely post.

It’s good that you stuck to it. I still hide behind the couch when the grammar nazis visit my blog, though.

I do, too! I revisit my posts from time to time and I can’t help but be ashamed whenever I read some errors. (facepalm)

I go and change things a bit too. Sometimes I see out-and-out mistakes, sometimes just things that I think are a little clunky. (Remind me to come back to this comment later and improve on the word “clunky”!

In my line of work, criticism is vital. Without it we do not know what we are doing wrong,or right.
Think of this: We are our own worst critic!
Your blog here is awesome. Well written and thought out. Cohesive writing style. Good job!
that was a positive criticism! they are important too!
